I earned my undergraduate degree in biology from Providence College. As I worked toward my degree I focused primarily on mathematics and anatomy as part of the pre-med program. I began tutoring during my sophomore year in college and found it to be a true calling. I've tutored students in middle school, high school, and college in the fields of mathematics and science. I currently offer tutoring services in algebra 1 & 2, calculus 1 & 2, differential equations, geometry, pre-calculus, trigonometry, algebra 3/4, pre-algebra, math, biology, and other science courses for both high school and college students. Personally, my favorite subjects are algebra and biology because both have fascinating puzzles to solve. Each piece of the problem has to fit together in a precise order if one is to solve the riddle. I find that when I present the material in this manner to students who have struggled with it, they tend to become more interested and less intimidated by the subjects. As a tutor it is always my goal to get to know my student so that I can discover their learning style and where they are academically. No two students are exactly alike, and it is important to me that I help them build a solid academic foundation so that they are able to achieve their academic goals.
