I began tutoring as a high school student as a volunteer, and I realized how much I loved education. I have shown this desire by serving in AmeriCorps, supervising tutors at the elementary school level, and working in my current position as a guidance counselor at the high school level. I attended Ohio State University for my bachelor's degree in psychology, and then I went on to Northern Kentucky University for my masters degree in school counseling. I can tutor students in a wide array of subjects including elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, statistics, public speaking, English, adult literacy, biology, writing, essays, English grammar, and test preparation. I try to make sessions relevant to the student and engaging. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering, watching sports, drinking coffee, drawing, reading, and taking my dog for walks.
