I attended Swarthmore College where I acquired my bachelor's degree with high honors. I also was a member of Phi Beta Kappa while at Swarthmore. Following Swarthmore, I attended Brown University and attained my master's degree (with a perfect 4.0 GPA). Since graduating from college, I have spent the majority of my time going after new and exciting opportunities and developing myself professionally. I am a certified teacher and can teach grades 7 through 12 in social studies.Currently, I teach a local high school social studies class. I have prior experience working at an elementary school as well. I also have experience working with adult learners and middle school students. Besides my education experience from Brown, I have also received years of training from the Department of Education in Rhode Island. I am able to teach students of all levels and from all walks of life. As for my teaching philosophy, I believe in individualized and customized teaching. Because every student is different, each student needs their own tailored lesson plans and special attention. I truly believe that learning is an addiction, and I try to make my lessons as fun as possible. I also push my students to understand their own self-worth and gain confidence while working with me on any given subject.
