I recently graduated from Brown University with a BA in Classics and Slavic studies and a theater emphasis. I spent much of my time as an undergrad serving as a board member of Shakespeare on the Green, a college theater group. I was an Assistant Director on "The Winter's Tale" during the first semester of my senior year. I teach a wide variety of subjects, but I prefer the liberal arts. Having said that, I do like to test myself in areas like math. I enjoy problem-solving. This appreciation for a challenge applies to the usual standardized tests also. But the biggest test for any of us is education. Learning leads to intellectual curiosity. It's human to try and understand, after all.I tutor my students in math from elementary math through algebra, geometry, trig, and calculus. I also tutor in Latin 1-4, grammar, history, chemistry, and social studies. I have experience with tutoring IB classes, as well as standardized test prep for the PSAT, SAT, ACT, SSAT, and more.I help my students significantly improve their scores in the ACT, PSAT, SAT, SSAT, SAT Math, SAT Verbal, ACT Science, ACT Reading, ACT Math, ACT English, SAT Writing, among others. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy the theater, cooking, running, and singing.
