EducationBrown University - BA, Politics, Philosophy, and Economics; Pre-med
ExperienceI am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching math and English. I am currently in the process of completing a degree in economics, philosophy, and politics from Brown University. After graduation, I plan on enrolling in an MD/PhD program to study health policy or bioethics. I have experience tutoring students between the ages of 10 and 19 in a variety of subjects. I am comfortable tutoring algebra, middle school math and English, trigonometry, and political science. My decision to become a tutor stems from my experience with a math tutor while I was in high school. I used to hate math, but the tutor I worked with taught me how to not only to succeed in the subject, but to actually enjoy doing it as well. I am currently tutoring students in biological and social sciences at an elementary through collegiate level. I am also able to help students prepare for standardized tests. I also enjoy debating, and I am a debate coach at a Rhode Island high school. In my free time, I like to write, sing, paint, ski, hike, and travel. My ultimate career goal is to practice medicine in the developing world, but I would also like to pursue a career in academia.
