Experience
I graduated from Brown University with a bachelor's degree in literary and visual arts. During my time as a college student, I was privileged enough to take a wide range of electives that helped enrich my learning experience. Additionally, it was also during my time in college that I first learned how much I loved working as a teacher. Not only did I work as a tutor and help my peers gain a deeper understanding of their coursework, I also taught literature at my local community center. As someone who loves art and literature, there's nothing I enjoy more than having the opportunity to share my passions with students interested in the same thing. In addition to teaching humanities, I've also helped students of varying skill levels improve their understanding of math and science courses, in addition to preparing for standardized tests like the SAT and ACT. As an educator, I like to take a hands-on approach to teaching and learning. I like coming up creative ways to make the classroom experience fun and engaging, so that everyone is able to benefit from the lessons. When I'm not teaching or reading literature, I enjoy painting, printmaking, and bookbinding. My other hobbies include cycling and cooking new types of food.
