Experience

I am a medical student at Brown University with a strong interest in becoming a pediatric oncologist. Prior to medical school I spent two years at Dana-Farber/Harvard Medical School working in a cancer immunology lab. I have 2 younger brothers and have always enjoyed tutoring them/ teaching. During college I tutored and was tutored in numerous science subjects. I spent a year at Oxford and was introduced to their "tutorial" system of education. Their entire system is based on one-on-one learning. It was there where I came to understand the importance of individualized, personal learning in a one-on-one setting. I am more than happy to tutor in any science subjects pertaining to the medical field (cell bio, immunology, genetics, biochemistry).

Hobbies

I enjoy reading non-medical books (when I'm not studying) and playing recreational basketball. I was a manager for the men's University of Richmond basketball team at Richmond. I also like cooking, hiking, and camping. I'm part of a few organizations at Brown. One of them is San Miguel Project, a group that tutors children in Providence on Wednesday afternoons. I am also part of Fostering Hope, an organization that works with foster youth in the area.
